OpenIDEO
2010-2013

A Web-based platform for innovation where designers and other creative thinkers create better, together.

I’ve worked as the core front-end developer on openIDEO since it’s inception back in 2010. It’s a constantly evolving platform with a sleek, crisp design which even looks good in IE7, bespoke admin interface and a number of custom javascript widgets.

Rodney Melville
2010

Developed a new website for Rodney Melville. I much prefer the pure HTML site over the default Flash one! Loads content in with AJAX and allows deep-linking - which was kinda cool back in 2010…

Luzz
2010

Luzz.es was a website consisting of a contact form and fullscreen Flash video player. The player loaded custom closed captions via XML to allow an admin to easily edit them whenever the video changed. It was all bespoke.

Natural History Museum - Cherry Tree Identification
2010

The Natural History Museum asked us to build an interactive key which posed a series of questions in order to identify your cherry tree. We chose to ditch Flash so that the key would also be accessible on mobile devices and made use of the amazing Jit to build a truly engaging experience.

Possum
2010

Possum is committed to improving the quality of life of disabled and elderly people by providing innovative technology solutions and support services; enabling empowerment and independence.

I developed a custom CMS for Possum to be able to manage their website and products, events and news. As they deal with assistive technology I used open web standards to ensure the site was accessible, including special consideration to visually impaired users.

Collabregator
2009

Oh my! First and only time something I’ve worked on was in an exhibition. This Flash network visualization maps the connections of the London design community. The one at the exhibition journeyed through the nodes at random.

15 and Counting
2009

We are asking all governments around the world to prioritise young people’s sexual and reproductive health and right

15andCounting is a WordPress implementation with an online petition section, which I can see after all these years has been overrun by evil bots… It’s multilingual - even has Arabic, for which the designers and I had to work closely together to get it looking good on both layouts.
